Who is responsible

The data controller is Héctor Varela, a natural person, founder of LandoStack. Any question about this policy is answered at hola@landostack.com.

What data is collected

What you write in the contact form:

• Your name.
• Your email address.
• Your company name, if you choose to add it. That field is optional.
• The message you write.

There is no sign-up, no accounts and no profiles. The only cookies the site sets are those of Google Analytics, and only if you accept them in the cookie notice (see “Cookies and Google Analytics”).

If you prefer to write to me on WhatsApp from the links on this site, that conversation happens inside WhatsApp and is governed by that app's terms. What reaches me is your number and whatever you choose to tell me there.

What it is used for

To answer your business enquiry and, if we move forward, to organise the work with you. Nothing else. No newsletters or promotions are sent, and the data is not used for advertising.

Who it is shared with

With nobody. The data is not sold or handed over to third parties.

There are technical exceptions. The first: the form is sent through Formspree, a US-based service that receives the message and forwards it to my inbox. Formspree acts as a processor on my behalf and for that purpose only. Submitting the form means your message passes through their servers in the United States.

The second is visit measurement: when you open a page, your browser sends Cloudflare (a US-based company) the data of that visit, including your IP address, which travels with any connection. According to Cloudflare, the IP address is discarded without being stored and only aggregate numbers are kept (see the next point).

The third only happens if you accept cookies: the data of your visit reaches Google through Google Analytics (see “Cookies and Google Analytics”).

Analytics without cookies

Visits are measured with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies, does not track people across sites and does not identify anyone individually. It only reports aggregate numbers, with no data that identifies a person: for example, how many visits, which pages were viewed, from which country, from which site, with what type of browser or device, and how long the page took to load. Cloudflare works the same whether or not you accept cookies.

Cookies and Google Analytics

If you accept in the cookie notice, the site also uses Google Analytics 4, a service of Google Ireland Limited (Ireland). It is used for statistics: how many people visit the site, which pages they read, for how long and where they come from, so the pages can be improved. The site tells Google not to use this data for advertising or ad personalisation.

Google Analytics sets two cookies in your browser: _ga and _ga_D657W0KFD3. They tell visits apart and last 13 months at most. Google Analytics is set to keep visit data for 14 months.

Google LLC, the parent company in the United States, may process this data there. Google LLC participates in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, which covers that transfer from the European Union.

If you reject, or until you choose, nothing from Google is loaded. Your choice is stored for 6 months in your own browser, after which the notice asks you again.

You can change your mind at any time with the Cookie preferences link at the bottom of every page. If you withdraw consent, the Google Analytics cookies are deleted and it stops loading.

Your rights

You can ask me for access to the data I hold about you, for it to be corrected if it is wrong, or for it to be deleted. To do so, write to hola@landostack.com, preferably from the same address you used to contact me, so I can identify your message.

In Chile, the processing of personal data is governed by Law 19.628 on the protection of private life. If you write from the European Union, the rights granted to you by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) also apply.
